You’ve been indoctrinated by the banana gestapo. Break free, now, before it’s too late! Victoria plums are your salvation.

Absolutely – sugar comes from cane or beet, both plants/vegetables in my book, ergo Plum Jam gives you two of your five a day.

Time for my medication
Oh, my Wyatt Earp just *loves* bananas. It’s a great source of potassium too for him. I’m going to have to post a photo of Wyatt the Boxer soon. This post really bought a great big smile today, thank you!
Our Border Collie ‘Mist’ is another banana fan -she will also go for melon but won’t touch strawberries or kiwi fruit.
‘Meg’, the collie we had before her, would eat just about anything – I once left a cauliflower on the table after shopping and five minutes later came back to find just the leaves from the base and a very guilty looking dog ๐ I expected some kind of gastric explosion the next time she did a ‘toilet’ but all was quite normal ๐
Haven’t tried Tilly with kiwi fruit yet, but I’ve no reason to suppose she wouldn’t eat it! Dixie doesn’t ‘do’ fruit at all…
Our Border Collie was very fussy – she wouldn’t eat any human food. Had to be proper dog food for her.
Never ceases to amaze me what dogs will eat. Andy’s dog Harry used to eat just about anything as I recall – wooden spoons I think, certainly a whole packet of pan scourers on one occasion. But not bananas.
Some dogs just don’t distinguish between edilble and non-edible do they? Don’t know what ‘brand’ Harry was, but we have heard that dog food manufacturers never use Labradors in their taste tests. Wonder why not…
Even I can only eat them when they’re slightly green. As soon as they turn even the tiniest bit brown, the taste changes completely and I don’t want anything to do with them ๐

Wrong shape, wrong colour, wrong smell, wrong taste…
Just WRONG!

I have to say I almost agree with you – I only eat them because I know I should. Try telling Tilly that though…

Actually my previous Boxer used to love bananas. Dixie doesn’t – she spits them out! Would love to see a photo of Wyatt Earp…
