Baltic to Atlantic, Aug-Sep 2022

September 18, 2022September 19, 2022 by chrissiedixie, posted in Backpacking Trips

I always knew this would be a different kind of backpacking trip. Tideswell To Home, May 2022

May 21, 2022May 21, 2022 by chrissiedixie, posted in Backpacking Trips

Not so many wild camps in 2021 then, but plenty of camps if you include campsites. I've also been lucky enough to do three, decent long distance routes, all of them great fun. I did have a flight booked out to Sweden again in August, but, as in 2020, I once again postponed it. Hopefully … Continue reading Camps of 2021

The Herriot way

September 23, 2021September 25, 2021 by chrissiedixie, posted in Backpacking Trips

The Herriot Way takes in some of the best scenery around Wensleydale and Swaledale, and is an absolutely delightful walk. It's a circular route, so it doesn't matter where you start and finish, but we chose Grinton. I found an Airbnb there where we could leave the car, as long as we spent the nights … Continue reading The Herriot way
