Bank Holiday Backpack with Dale

Hayfield to Chinley campsite, via Ollersett Moor. Daniel Clout called in for a chat while we were pitching!

Chinley to Upper Booth Campsite, via Rushup Edge.

Upper Booth Campsite to home, via Jacob’s Ladder and Tunstead Clough.

Geoff had lunch waiting for us when we arrived back…

  1. Just the weather for it – biting things aside that is – were the flies/midges bad? I’m wanting to go camping in my car soon but I literally get bitten by absolutely everything going. I got 2 ticks yesterday after a gill scramble ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Who’s the excellently-named Daniel Clout by the way? ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. We didn’t have any trouble with midges or anything to be honest, but Geoff and Dale had a bit of midgey trouble one night last week on their Yorkshire cycling tour…
      Yuk to the ticks…
Daniel Clout is a friend who lives near us who’s a big camper, but unless you’re on Facebook you probably wouldn’t come across him!

  2. Looks like a glorious outing, Chrissie! I particularly like the sight of Jacob’s Ladder – from my chair ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
    All the best,

  3. Hi Chrissie, Glad you had a good backpack and enjoyed it.
I’m looking forward to your next photos.
Oh, BTW, you’ve a little way to go to reach Dale’s standard, which is something like, “We walked, we camped and we ate….”
Seriously, glad it went well and you enjoyed it.
