That looked rather lovely.
We have had NO snow at all.
Even the forecast of snow yielded torrential rain.
Nice sunny day today and hopefully tomorrow though.
I can’t believe you’ve had no snow, I thought it was pretty much everywhere! I expect much of it will have gone by Wednesday or Thursday though, when it starts to warm up again.
Yes, those hills are all part of the greater Kinder massif, just above our village of Hayfield. Reckon we’ll have the snow for another couple of days ๐
Hurray !!!! Winter’s here at last!
We had a big(ish) dump of snow on Boxing Day, but it’s gone were we live (too near the coast) I think there’s still quite a bit in the Clwydian Hills and in Snowdonia, so must get out this week!
Thanks – I sometimes think my mobile takes better photos than my camera!
Still got loads of snow (and freezing fog!) today, but it’s all gonna start warming up again tomorrow…
A fine outing. Brings back some memories we used to walk the Peak district when we lived in Lichfield. We were once surrounded and hassled by hungry sheep, believe it or not, on Mount Famine!
I think all Peak District sheep are trained to ambush anyone with a lunch box! It was a lovely wander and Tilly wore herself out totally leaping through the big drifts ๐
Beautiful posting Chrissie. There hasn’t been any snow yet here in southeastern Pennsylvania but I’m sure it will come eventually. Have a healthy, blessed, abundant and very Happy 2015!
Woweee, looks utterly fantastic, fantasmagorical in fact. Brilliant photos too.

Thanks Dawn ๐ There was a fantastic depth to it on the top, making it quite hard going!

There was plenty of people out sledging today, on every slope within 10 minutes walk of the village centre!

Have you tried night sledging? I quite often go around one in the morning – great fun!

Now, I can honestly say I don’t remember ever trying that!

Stunning photos, looks the Peak had a big dump of snow. We had none down here in the Deep South. I had to go to Snowdonia to find some!

I’m a bit late replying to this Andy as we’ve been in Scotland, but looks like you’re getting some snow now!
