Ready For The Off!

It’s that time of year again.

The doggies are getting over excited.

They’re all packed and ready to go. Dixie’s a touch concerned about how rough the ferry might be on Sunday, with ex-Hurricane Bertha coming in, but Tilly says she’ll just sleep through it.

In theory, we’re off to the Austrian Alps. Tilly likes all things ‘Sound of Music’ and has been heard singing ‘Doh-a-Deer’, whilst practising the choreography routine from the film, on the house staircase. Dixie – on the other hand – prefers ‘Climb Every Mountain’. She says she doesn’t need to practise anything for that.

Having just taken delivery of a Bavarian Alp walking guide, however, it’s just possible we might never make Austria. The mountains look just as good in Germany. As long as the cakes and pastries are good, I don’t really mind where we end up.

We do have another happening before we actually leave , though. Geoff’s wonderful daughter, Abi, and her boyfriend, Dave, are getting married on Saturday. Just don’t expect to see any photos of me in my dress.

Have a good summer, everyone! πŸ˜€

Have a fantastic time Chrissie and safe travels. Can’t wait to see and hear all about your wonderful adventures!

  3. Great photos of the dogs – they really do relax don’t they? πŸ˜‰

I loved Germany but I have to admit to getting fed up of only being able to buy sweet stuff in Austria and Germany – I think you can have too much of it!

It must be wonderful to be able to take the dogs everywhere with you. It is so hard over here – quarantine (and distance) makes it impossible to take them abroad, and even locally it’s that easy. I look forward to hearing about their adventures!

  5. Probably too late Chrissie but I can recommend the Bavarian hills.I worked there for a while in Garmisch (ahem) years ago πŸ™‚ Hollental gorge is worth visiting if you end up there.

I suspect you might be back by now, so I’ll wish you great memories of trip completed πŸ™‚

Dogs enjoy outdoor life as much as we do.
